Am making the frame // batt. housing work,, out of ''very stout'' 3/32 aluminum.
The packs will set in the upper part, with the length of the batt. tray being 11 inches.
It's ''a lot'' of work with out having a press brake, & having to clamp it all to the end of a bench,, & use ''lot's'' of map gas heat, & elbow grease, to get the bends bent & dollied down correctly.
New project in the works for a Guy. Brushless 48v 1800w electric, powered by 2 -13s 3p Li-ion packs that are run in parallel.
Each pack has 39 18650 cells, with each pack also having a ''BMS'' protection/balancing circuit board.
Ah rating for each pack is supposedly 32 ah ea !
Hooking both packs up in parallel,, the Ah rating doubles to 64 Ah.
Full charge voltage for ea. pack is around 56v.
Have always had a love for Hydro's, & had them off & on since the late 80's, of various sorts.
Been looking for one of these little guys for over 1/2 a year, as they were discontinued 5 years ago. It's 18 in. long, & has a 2200kv motor & 30a water cooled ESC. AUW is right around a lb., with the 3s 1000ma lipo. Did a bunch of mods to it, & it cruise's smooth @ about 1/3 thrott. going 30+. - feeling cool

Beau was teaching Tyler how to fly his Hobby Zone cub last night. Being on top of the hill makes it closer to the clouds than you realize. He almost flew into them by mistake!
Some of the planes that Beau flew to trim for Tyler, and old faithflull 3D Hobby extra! That was 2 days ago.
