Before and after shot of when a battery decides to catch fire. Notice that we charge our batteries in the grill with the lid closed in case this would happen when left unattended. Good thing but lost everything in there. - feeling sad

Everyone that ever flys RC planes, know what this feels like. We call these a "two bagger" as it takes two garbage bags to put all the junk in!

I was one of the first to build and fly this kit. It was called "Sweet Sixteen". It was all foam and had a one piece wing with wire struts to hold it together. It had a Fox 78 for power. It was the biggest RC Plane in US back in the 70's. It took off in 15' and flew very slow. I have the original first flight on video somewhere. I still have it stored in an old house. It's almost 50 years old. - feeling happy

We had a local guy that must have built 40 plus of these aeromasters and sold them locally. all had quadra 42 and 52 engines on them. He made the canopies out of plastic pop bottles and the round cowls out of white plastic clorox bleach bottle bottoms. At every fun fly, you would see 4 or 5 of them.

Beau with his Goldberg Extra 300. It had an Enya 120 4 stroke. He was one of the best flyers in the club even at his age.

I74 Hi Joe ! … Yea,, the 450hp. Super 'cuda is long gone..... Sold that back in 04'... It went to Billings Montana... Figured it better go before that highly massaged 340+ went... No way would I have ever had the bread to replace that engine,, if you could even find one.. Made some really good coin off of it though,, & also had a ''ton'' of fun in it... 2 days ago

Got the wing mounted, turbine cowl painted,, & modified a duel water pickup rudder, & have that mounted. Missing graphics,, I 'am ordering from Callie, @ Callie graphics. She has awesome prices, & does excellent work. A lot of R/C'rs get graphics from her. After the graphics order, I will be ordering the 3660-2150 kv inrunner. That's coming out of Chiner,, so it will probably take a bit to show.

Look'ie what I got yesterday !!
Had 2 of these ''way'' back in the day. They were originally powered by 2 - brushed 05 car motors in a gear drive,, with a micro switch ''so called'' speed control., & powered by 2 - 6 or 7 cell NIcds… They ran like the dickens for around 30sec.,, & were pretty much done within a minute & a half. LOL !!.. They were also ''very heavy'' with that set up...

I74 Ran out of space on last post.. Anyways,, Have been looking for another one for years,, to put in a light weight water cooled brushless set up ,, & power it with 2 -3s 2200 30c lipo's in parallel.. I was real lucky to find this one from a wanted ad that I posted on RCG.... This kit is from 1991,has never been finished,, & is over all in very good shape. 5 months ago

I74 Added again,, The motor I' am going with, is a Surpass Rocket - 3660- 2150kv inrunner. It will have a silicone water cooling jacket,, & the ESC will be a 60/70a water cooled ''shark'' one. Free rpm's @ the prop, should be over 27k ! Under load should be around 23k. Figure it will be ''at least'' 2lbs. lighter than my originals, & should do 40 easy,, plus run 8 - 10min. with out breaking a sweat. It's... Show more 5 months ago
