Am on the home stretch on the F4 - PSS ''slope jet''.
The whole top side is paint, no decals.
Am having 2nd thoughts of even flying it now,,
''way to much time in it''
Probably will though …..
Not sure if I ever showed this pic of me slope flying my DG - 1000 with a Bald Eagle a few years back..<br />
Span on the DG is 6.5ft.''2m'',, so you can figure the span on the eagle @ around 4 1/2 ft.<br />
That was my record ''totally unpowered'' slope flight of 1hr. & 2 min. I flew with the Eagle for about 4 min.<br />
He was real cool with me, & I think he was ''digg'n'' it. LOL.
Weather is real funky here in east central Iowa at the moment,,
& haven't got a chance to fly yet.
Think part of it is due to the air quality improved ,, due to less pollution in the air from the Pandemic, & people not driving ect..
They say that LA has the clearest skyline in decades .
Air pollution creates heat, & I think that's why the air temps have been cooler, & affecting the weather patterns.
Once I get to fly though, with the ground temps being higher than the air temps,, I think the sailplane flying should really benefit from this, creating more lift.
Here is a shot of my little 'hot rod' Orion sailing yacht, that I picked up from Scotland a couple months back. little sucker scoots,, & has a 'very' long keel & streamlined ballast bulb.
It shares parts with the DF 65,, which is currently the most popular club R/C sailing yacht in the world. We have a killer pond down the street, but also have a resident Gander Goose that doesn't like my boat. LOL
Been a long time since I have been on here, hope every ones doing well.
Have been hot rodding my Mini bike, & others .
Integrated a Honda GX 200 ''196cc ''engine in my Mini bike.
It has around 8hp,& about 10ft lbs. of torque.
It is as quick as a old school big twin Harley for about a block, & cruises @ a fast idle !
I made the alun. chain /clutch guard by hand, & a lot of other stuff on it.
I modded the crap out of one of my Mini bikes.
Just got done re- engineering a jack shaft set up on it. Runs & rides real good, & pulls my 205lbs no problem.
Haven't flown since last Aug. Hope to get some quality flying time in this spring !!
Here is a pic of a project I have been finishing up for the wife. Did ''a lot'' of custom work & mods to it. Got a custom CNC machined velocity stack air filter adapter coming for it yet, that will take a cone K&N filter. I 'am going to get one also, & put a 212cc ''Hemi'' predator in mine, plus some other goodies. Even with mods, the 80cc+,, is not near enough engine for my 210lbs. She is 5'1 & 135lbs. ''Plenty for her''. LOL! - feeling cool
Here's a pic for you Joe !. Guess they totaled around 300 - 69 Chargers in making that series. Averaged 2 per episode.
John Schneider did a feature in one of the old Mopar mags, of his own personal 69 Charger with a highly massaged Hemi, ''think it's a 512 crate motor''... He really likes that car, & did a lot of work on it himself. !!
