Am on the home stretch on the F4 - PSS ''slope jet''.
The whole top side is paint, no decals.
Am having 2nd thoughts of even flying it now,,
''way to much time in it''
Probably will though …..

I74 I made the ''yellow'' Blue Angels arrow for the bottom fuse out of Monokote trim sheet, but that's all I' am putting on it for graphics. I cut out a tail number ''5'' also , & set it up where it would live on that side of the vert stab,, but just didn't like it. Am not going to do any more detail work to it either. Think it looks plenty ''spiff' just the way it is. Ian 4 weeks ago

Not sure if I ever showed this pic of me slope flying my DG - 1000 with a Bald Eagle a few years back..<br />
Span on the DG is 6.5ft.''2m'',, so you can figure the span on the eagle @ around 4 1/2 ft.<br />
That was my record ''totally unpowered'' slope flight of 1hr. & 2 min. I flew with the Eagle for about 4 min.<br />
He was real cool with me, & I think he was ''digg'n'' it. LOL.

I74 Added,, That DG ended up biting the dust ''RIP'', a couple of years later,, due to compressibility from getting sucked up into a thermal @ over 1000ft. looking like less than 1/4 inch long,,,& then getting affected by turbulence ect.,, & then getting pushed down into a dive @ over an est. 100mph ! At that speed, the control surfaces were useless,, ''Like the P - 38 ''ect.. I almost saved it... Show more 2 months ago

Smokin Joe I thought they would just drift away like what happens at our field when the pilot hand launched his 049 sailplane and forgot to turn his transmitter and sailplane on. It was still perfectly trimmed! Flew away perfect until it was out of sight! 4 weeks ago

Weather is real funky here in east central Iowa at the moment,,
& haven't got a chance to fly yet.
Think part of it is due to the air quality improved ,, due to less pollution in the air from the Pandemic, & people not driving ect..
They say that LA has the clearest skyline in decades .
Air pollution creates heat, & I think that's why the air temps have been cooler, & affecting the weather patterns.
Once I get to fly though, with the ground temps being higher than the air temps,, I think the sailplane flying should really benefit from this, creating more lift.

Here is a shot of my little 'hot rod' Orion sailing yacht, that I picked up from Scotland a couple months back. little sucker scoots,, & has a 'very' long keel & streamlined ballast bulb.
It shares parts with the DF 65,, which is currently the most popular club R/C sailing yacht in the world. We have a killer pond down the street, but also have a resident Gander Goose that doesn't like my boat. LOL

I74 Yea it is Joe, except for that ''huge'' Gander Goose that paddles out & tries to block my course. With a moderate wind I can usually sail faster than he can paddle though. 'LOL' ! ... R/C Buddy of mine from Australia told me I should make a copy pic. of a foul delicacy like 'Peking Duck'' & attach it to the mast, & maybe he might get the idea … ''LOL''!!!!!!!! 3 months ago

Smokin Joe I had some electric boats for my grandson and we tried them in the local creek in the back yard. It always got crap wound up around the propellers. I wised up and got the "Air Boats" with the props and dual rudders. Still us them. 2 months ago

I74 I had an Air boat once , Joe,, among the ''many''' other serious racing boats of different type thru out the years .... The Air boat was kind of a Hydro hull with an Evolution .46 on it. Had to modify it ''of course'' ,, like all my other stuff.,,, to get it to plane out half way decent. LOL.. That Evo nitro engine was pretty impressive... If it dries up by Thurs., we will probably go flying. .. I 2 months ago

I74 Yea, it's not to shabby in the spring/ early summer Joe. Or flying season hasn't started yet. Hope to get rolling by the end of the month. Unseasonably cold here yet, for the most part.. Have been redesigning & building an F4 Phantom that was given to me for Xmas, from an R/C buddy in East PA. It was crashed & pretty much toast from the inlets forward. It's going to be a Slope/Hi start glider... Show more 3 months ago

Been a long time since I have been on here, hope every ones doing well.
Have been hot rodding my Mini bike, & others .
Integrated a Honda GX 200 ''196cc ''engine in my Mini bike.
It has around 8hp,& about 10ft lbs. of torque.
It is as quick as a old school big twin Harley for about a block, & cruises @ a fast idle !
I made the alun. chain /clutch guard by hand, & a lot of other stuff on it.

Here is a pic of a project I have been finishing up for the wife. Did ''a lot'' of custom work & mods to it. Got a custom CNC machined velocity stack air filter adapter coming for it yet, that will take a cone K&N filter. I 'am going to get one also, & put a 212cc ''Hemi'' predator in mine, plus some other goodies. Even with mods, the 80cc+,, is not near enough engine for my 210lbs. She is 5'1 & 135lbs. ''Plenty for her''. LOL! - feeling cool

Here's a pic for you Joe !. Guess they totaled around 300 - 69 Chargers in making that series. Averaged 2 per episode.
John Schneider did a feature in one of the old Mopar mags, of his own personal 69 Charger with a highly massaged Hemi, ''think it's a 512 crate motor''... He really likes that car, & did a lot of work on it himself. !!
